I live in the West, but anytime someone says something about the Eastside being “ugly” it is an immediate tell that they haven’t traveled most of the state.
Potholes and the Columbia refugee are a great example

Taking the family to Moses Lake for a few days over Spring Break. I've been to Potholes State Park by myself, but would love to explore the area a bit better. Know of any good access spots? Seems like there are some kind of trails off these roads on the North sides? https://i.imgur.com/IkZxRMGl.jpg
Marsh Unit 1 Trail also looks like it might be fun.

Make sure you take some time to visit Soap Lake, just west of Moses Lake on highway 17. From there you can head north to Lake Lenore caves which is a great spot to see some of the erosion caused by the Missoula floods and has a nice hiking trail then you can head up north to Dry Falls and Coulee City. Great places for a day trip, there are a variety of small shops/markets in Soap Lake to grab a little picnic at the caves or Dry falls. Dry falls has a visitor center with lots of information on the area and hiking trails at the base of the falls. Message me if you would like some more information on places to visit, I've lived in Grant County for most of my life.
