I helped Build the Boardwalk with the WCC 24+ years ago... it was a big deal!!! I still walk it and enjoy the piece of opportunity it presents... At the time I was fresh out of Highschool and got a chance to do something awesome for my state.. I did it and never will forget it!!!

It has bathrooms, a lovely boardwalk trail, and a shop—all just two minutes off I-5. We use it on nearly every trip through the area to stretch our legs and reconnect with nature before continuing whatever road trip we are on.

That place has changed so much since they breached the dikes and returned it to an estuary.

I love it down there. That's the most water I've seen in it in a while.

You can see seals there during certain parts of the year. They pile up on those butte-like dirt formations, it’s pretty cool

Kind of looks like the swamp from Return of the King

Was there last weekend not a bird in sight! Beautiful capture of the ambiance!

Isn’t there a hwy near something like this? I always see some wetlands and wondered how to get there?

Also, is there some wet areas easily accessible? I have a microscope and would love to take some samples. I would sure hate to climb up back on the trail lol

This is right next to I-5 near Olympia. There is a boardwalk that goes through the entire area. I expect you can get off of that and walk around but not sure.

You should show the other picture where the tide is in all the way and it's a dock.
