Weird, I was just thinking about my last trip to the Hoh last night, when I was trying to sleep. Coming out from a three-day backpack, there was a herd of Roosevelt elk right off the trail -- about a dozen of them, like 15 feet away! They knew we were there, but paid no mind.

I was lucky enough to be there two different days, one was sunny and the other was rainy and foggy. I loved both days but to be honest the rainy day was sooooo magical.
