I'm so sick and tired of the heat, and the wildfires are making the summer worse and worse every year. Literally took a 5 day trip to fuckin Fairbanks just to escape it for a little while

I’m also sick and tired of transplants talking about how nice the weather is.

Out of context, sure, it is lovely. In the context of it being October and global climate change it’s fucking scary and not pleasant.

Yup… I remember when it being in the 80’s was considered hot.

Now in august, it’s considered to be a cool day at 90 degrees

And the first week of September! I remember feeling super resentful more than once that the weather was amazing right after I started school. But the rains were always back by mid to late September. A "hot" October day would be lucky to hit 70.

I'm legit moving (after about a decade) because of climate change. Our summer is short enough, and now we lose a week or two of it to smoke every summer, and now in the fall too/instead? And on the hottest days of fall? So gross :(

I feel so robbed by climate change and wish I had moved out here 5 years earlier than I did.

Where are you moving to for better weather? Climate change is a global thing, so I can't think of many cities that haven't had worse weather.

Back to the east coast. Hot summers and humidity I can deal with, it's the smoke that's the problem and there are still states that don't experience this every summer.

I’ve only been here for a few years and the impact of climate change is so obviously worse each year it’s absolutely terrifying. I barely got to experience the climate I moved here for.

I'm really missing the cold and gray.

Fuckin A me too. I only feel contented and safe and sound when it's overcast or gloomy and raining. And I'm not really realizing that until now.

When it's sunny all the damn time I feel like I need to be outside 4-5 hours a day. Not a terrible thing in practice, but the constant anxiety that I should be outside right now or I should've been outside by now fucks with my brain.
