I’m wholeheartedly convinced people’s opposition to using the native name (which the tribes of WA want used) is rooted in anglo-supremacy BS.

Rainer wasn’t even an American. In fact he FOUGHT against the founding of the US. Why people would want to honor a loser brit over the native name is beyond me.

It's impressive, really. /u/pala4833 managed to malign indigenous persons and those suffering from Tourette's Syndrome in one comment.

Show's not only their anglo-supremecy BS, but that they are also an ableist who likely hasn't had to suffer the slightest adversity in life so they are okay on shitting on any person that is 'other'.

Keep in mind that Tahoma is actually the generic term for all white-capped mountains. Rainier does have a specific native name, which I can’t remember right now. I’ll see if I can find it again.

I'm going to start referring to this as TTS (Tahoma Tourette's Syndrome)

Yeah, mock both a serious psychological disorder AND the wishes of the Native peoples.

It’s neurodevelopmental, not psychological. The rest of your point still stands however.
