Awesome footage. Remember when the original Planet Earth came out and these kinds of shots blew our minds? Drones can be controversial, but it sure is fun to get video like this without a Planet Earth budget. Nice work!

Thanks! That reminds me that I need to update my first comment about drone use at the falls.

Just FYI it is illegal to fly a drone at or near a hydroelectric facility such as Snoqualmie Falls. Because they are considered critical infrastructure and are under federal jurisdiction. Also there are several protected bird species around the falls. There are signs up in the park and PSE can shut you down or contact law enforcement. Not trying to be a party pooper just wanted you to be informed.

I'm sure you have a source at the ready for that regulation...
You are taking a prohibition on flying over a very specific subset of Critical Infrastructure, and are incorrectly applying it to whatever you feel it should be, when it isn't.
I've clearly laid out that I wasn't on PSE property, so they aren't going to call law enforcement for breaking a rule of theirs. Here's Snoqualmie municipal code on UAS https://www.codepublishing.com/WA/Snoqualmie/html/Snoqualmie17/Snoqualmie1779.html

Sorry, but you are intentionally trying to be a party pooper.
Edit: Grammar.

I can’t believe it was 80 like two or three weeks ago.

That's what I was telling my co-workers who live in New Jersey and in Texas today! Some of them were confused when I was complaining that it was still so cold in June when it was 90+ for them already.

May is usually nicer than June and summer begins around July 5th.
Summer is officially over for outdoor engineering work on Oct 10th, anything after that is a bonus.
A 30F temp drop is not normal. One of the few times I’m glad to not have horses to look after because that’s pretty hard on them, especially given it’s wet.

Very cool to see, and the snow cover in the mountains is the cherry on top of that last photo.

Thanks! Winter sure came fast this year. Snow capped Mt. Si sure is beautiful, but I'll be sure to get a shot of it when we have blue skies again.

I actually got into a low-key argument with a customer about two weeks ago about there being a “waterfall season” here in a Pacific Northwest.
I’m a local and a tour guide. She was a tourist. I wish I could have shown her this.

What was she even arguing? I don't understand what the counter argument would be lol

Probably something simplistic like 'if river + cliff, then there are falls dumbass' lol.
People might not think that some rivers stop sometimes.

Edit: One very important note regarding drone use at the Falls. Raptor nesting season begins in early spring and goes through the end of June. Absolutely no drones should be flown during this time. PSE has signs up everywhere informing you that UAS use on their property is prohibited. I was not on PSE property when I took this shot.
Also, I communicated with the Snoqualmie Tribe about a set of restrictions, which were designed to be as minimally intrusive as possible before flying here. Don't fly here unless you ask beforehand, and absolutely do not fly over the plunge pool.
