Definitely copper creek bakery. The ONLY way I go to Mt. Rainier is first wait for spring time then early in the morning head to Enumclaw amd pick up sr 410 to the mountain. Peel off at 123 and drop down to ohanapacosh and enter through the that gate. This way you avoid the rock festival long line of traffic at the nisqually entrance literally 3-4 miles on a weekend. I usually turn left and skip paradise and head straight to copper creek inn for eggs, pancakes and coffee. Then I head home and avoid nearly all the traffic because you are going against the grain. I was born here 60 years ago and raised at the foot of the mountain not far from Eatonville. I've been all around the world but I wouldn't live anywhere else because of the fantastic scenery and food.

I was also raised close to the base of this mountain. Way too gorgeous to be scared of it killing me haha.

I went to Google maps and typed in “Blackberry Pancakes Ashford” and then looked for a log cabin looking restaurant among the four results. Since you mentioned it was near the entrance I assumed it was the restaurant closest to the mountain. Never been there but looks like you found a good spot.

Thanks so much. Very kind of you. My wife will appreciate it and I owe you a beer

If you come back put the beer money toward the gift shop. Looks like they got some blackberry syrup that looks pretty good and the locals will appreciate it. Safe travels Reddit friend.

It's knowing the right keywords like Ashford and not rainier but yes, usually the most concise keywords

Lol all you have to do is type in blueberry pancakes into Google maps with the map looking at the area

I know this is a longshot but two years ago when my wife and I last visited Mount Rainier we drove through this entrance and right before it we had the most delicious blackberry pancakes of our entire lives. My wife has been talking about them nonstop for two years. I just can’t seem to find the name of the restaurant. I believe it was in Ashford but I am not certain. They sold all types of maple syrup and jams and the inside had a very log cabin type feel. Thank you!

You should try to spend the night at the copper creek inn! I loved our suite and they have a hot tub. The cabins look cute, too.

Sophet_Drahas t1_ivz8bjf wrote

Copper Creek Inn for sure. If you leave on the way back and they’re still open, get a marionberry pie to take home. The place is my regular stop after a day at the park, purely for the pie.

TopRevenue2 t1_ivwz8aa wrote

Their pie is the bomb.

sn0qualmie t1_ivxhc1h wrote

The last time I was up that way, my friend and I got there desperate for pie but just a few minutes after they'd closed. A kind server sold us two slices of pie to go anyway. We tipped her like crazy and devoured the pie almost before we got back to the car.

Their food is amazing. It's been many years since I was last there, but I've been going since I was a child 50 years ago. I've never been to Rainier and not stopped in at Copper Creek Inn.

Last time I was there on a motorcycle day trip and got a slice of Marionberry pie. Best I've ever had.

−2

pala4833 t1_ivypkyu wrote

But you did, you said "the mountain". In this context one would assume Rainier. Plus you said "go up to Paradise".

Look you made a mistake, that's fine. But your replies just make you look like a stupid asshole.

3

TriangleMan85 t1_ivysi1n wrote

Or "the mountain" as in "crystal mountain?"

−2

pala4833 t1_ivytn2u wrote

You're not into the whole humility thing, huh? That's cool.

1

rogers916 t1_ivzggol wrote

OP posts photo shoot Mt Rainier, literally saying My Rainier, and you think everyone should understand than "The mountain" would mean something else?

1

TriangleMan85 t1_ivzpv1l wrote

Okay, done I was wrong, I didn't look closely enough at the Photo. Thought it was 410 entrance and made myself a fool. Have fun gloating won't be the first time I was wrong won't be the last. Live it up.

TriangleMan85 t1_ivzhgnw wrote

Dude... crystal mountain is literally 20 mins from that sign in the photo.

pala4833 t1_ivzm17a wrote

This is the Nisqually entrance, not the White River entrance.

1

rogers916 t1_ivzn86l wrote

It's not. There are multiple entrances to MRNP, but this sign is from the Nisqually Entrance, which is the most popular. It's the one leading in from Ashford, and goes up to Paradise.

What you're talking about is the 410 entrance that leads to Sunrise. The sign is different.

Where you're referring to is also closed right now, as it is every winter.

It's ok to realize you made a mistake. It's not really a big deal. I just thought it was funny that you replied confidently incorrect, when you were confidently incorrect. Just found it amusing.

1

TriangleMan85 t1_ivyrr90 wrote

Really? From my point of view, I was trying to be friendly and recommend a cool unique dining experience close to OPs posted picture, then a bunch of people take issues with with how I worded a paragraph. Not taking into consideration that maybe I wasn't speaking about paradise wa. Maybe I was talking about paradise valley? Or paradise bowl? Or maybe just my personal opinion that it's a paradise, so maybe reflect that you could be an asshole atm as well.

−5

pala4833 t1_ivytw3d wrote

Nah, you were mistaken and now you're backpedaling.

3

TriangleMan85 t1_ivyv1w6 wrote

Okay buddy. Have a nice day 👍 you can totally fuck right off, but have a nice day.

Here's humility for you, sometimes people type how they are thinking and it makes sense to them in the moment, not caring to take the time to provide explicit concise instruction unless the interest is shown. Then there's assholes like you that just love to come in and assume everything you can and insult others to feel superior over another person.

−3

rogers916 t1_ivzg7g6 wrote

Crystal Mountain is 100 miles and over 2 hours away from OPs location. Would be a little quicker if Chinook Pass want closed.

You're doing a lot of backpedaling here, rather than just saying "my bad, I meant crystal Mountain". This whole thread is about My Rainier, and the Nisqually entrance. Paradise only means one thing in this context. What your trying to say here is the same as saying you're in DC and want to go to the white house, but you actually mean a white house in a different neighborhood somewhere.

2

rogers916 t1_ivwxp4b wrote

Confidently correct. It's in Crystal Mountain. Not Paradise

5

TriangleMan85 t1_ivwx7o5 wrote

I said paradise buddy. And yes there is....

rogers916 t1_ivwxnx0 wrote

No, there's not. There is a Gondola at Crystal Mountain, which they call the Mount Rainier Gondola, but it's not in the park and nowhere near Paradise.

fordry t1_ivxb87u wrote

Quite the double down man...

No lift of any sort inside MRNP. As everyone else has pointed out, the closest is at Crystal Mountain.
