That tallest darker building left in the skyline is Columbia Center tower. The Sky View Observatory up near the top has spectacular 360 panoramic views and makes the Space Needle seem so tiny! Definitely worth a visit for those who’ve never been-

Gorgeous shot OP, thanks!

My grandpa worked in the smith tower (small white tower with the pyramid roof, very left of the group of buildings) when it was the tallest building in Seattle. Always trips me out to think about.

Very nice. Had no idea the Olympic mountain range looms so large against the city.

The zoom compression helps exaggerate that

How much %wise would you estimate the exaggeration is?

I have no doubt the mountains dwarf the city but am curious how the image processing compares with what the naked eye sees.

There are formulas for that, but above my pay grade. They do loom over Seattle when seen from a distance, such as driving in on W90 from Issaquah.

are you trying to recreate that old poster?

I uploaded a partial photo here, but it's not very good. You may still be able to find the original poster in some shops. It's from 1983 so there have been a lot of changes in the skyline.

What did you use to take this pic ?! It’s so awesome !

I used a Nikon D7200 with a Sigma 150-600 lens. It’s actually 12 pictures stitched together; I’m beta testing the new pano feature in the Arsenal 2 device, which stitches the photos for me as I take them.

Can you do another series soonish? The new snow cover on the mountains has grown more but isn’t complete yet. The relief contrast is really awesome to see.
