Yet they apparenrly did the classic blunder of fleeing the state, instead of returning to their normal routine, unless maybe he only left during the holiday break or something

The end of the article isn't clear on where exactly he as found, other than mountainous, rural PA. Was he hiding in a cabin in the woods, visiting family, vacationing?

In another article it mentions he was arrested at his parents' home in a gated community. From looking at a map of the area, it appears to be a developed suburban neighborhood.

Also leaving DNA samples at the scene and continuing to drive vehicle that was spotted. Kids take a lesson here: Don’t murder people in cold blood it isn’t worth it. Get therapy for your anger issues.
