Thought you meant 10% of the people in the photos were eaten (killed?) by fungus.

I was expecting to read about a new plague.

I love looking at pics from this time. I am slightly younger than you but I remember the Fubu and South Pole era perfectly 🫡 😂🔥

Not actually 'from' Pasco (or the Tri-Cities); but I do live in Kennewick (but not from Kennewick), lol.

Kennewick was much nicer than Pasco, I remember our house was kinda old and falling apart, Kennewick and Richland was where all the wealthy people lived and Pasco was like, the ugly side of town; at least that was my perception at 13 years old… perhaps I was wrong, I wonder how it is now.

And not sure if you might be interested or not, but there is a Tri-Cities sub-reddit group.

Lived in Pasco back in 86-90 then we moved to Richland. My youngest was born in Pasco in 87.

Fun fact for the year and area. Jeremy Bonderman was a first round draft pick after his junior year in high school, Pasco in 2001. Went on to have a decent MLB career.

Was across the river from you at Hanford as a freshman that year. None of the faces are familiar but chances are I ran in to some of them via mutual friends, CBC, church, or during the time I worked at a movie theater. Thanks for sharing this blast from the past!

Girl in the front in the striped shirt looks like she put a curse on the camera man.

I was panning through the photo, and there is a surprisingly high number of kids here with irritated faces like hers lol

The most popular kids were sitting at that front row… except for the guy next to her. He was the new guy, he had only been in school for like 3 weeks and didn’t really talk to anybody. He just sat there a little confused, but nobody seemed to mind.

What i find wild is you go to a middle school today and it won't be much different in terms of looks.

The popular kids were sitting at the front row, with the girl in the very center (us flag shirt) being the most popular. Two seats next to her is a girl in a pink blouse, red hair, I was totally in love with that girl. She was way out of my league though. I was the nerdy quiet science kid.

I appear near the top right corner. So yeah, I wasn’t very popular.

I was there a couple years before this. The fights out side the portables every morning between the rival gang members were always entertaining. The multiple stabings were kind of annoying.
