This is why we love the PNW the way we do! Gorgeous photo and I bet it was a magical adventure when you got it.

This afternoon was super clear! I had a nice view of Baker on the way home from work all the way from the other side of the sound. Your view is better!

I hit Mt Baker for some snowshoeing on Jan 2nd. Never been before. What a cool place. It was like a big snow playground. People going off in every direction to find their own path.

Also lost my phone, vanished into some fresh powder near Artist Point. Still worth.

My wife really wants to try snowshoeing. Perfect place for it. :)

I swear half the people snowshoeing had the exact same ones that REI rents out lol. REI is cheap but if you're looking to buy, look used first. They should last years and years so there's not a ton of reason to go new if it's just for casual use

Shuksan is so gorgeous. Baker has the best parking lot views anywhere imo.

After living 20 years on the east coast, I can say( with this picture) that it's good to be home.

Thank you!

I might transfer to WWU next year (if I donโ€™t make UW) after 2 years spent at an east coast college that I find doesnโ€™t suit me, if I do I can go there often. Dunno what I was thinking, choosing that over Lewis & Clark

UW alum, I hate to say itโ€ฆbut WSU is a better Washington State school for most fields than Western. Also the Coug alumni network is crazy good and supportive of their new grads.

Climbed Mt Shuksan in my youth (1980). See that "ramp" going from high on the left across the mountain down to the right. That is the path of the Sulphide Glacier, which was our route. So we were upon the flanks of Mt Shuksan, looking back at Mt Baker across the valley. Every bit as gorgeous either way. But Shuksan has a bit higher claim on pure aesthetic beauty, I think :).
