Coming from the south of the US. I’m in my late 30’s. Don’t drink but don’t mind the night life. I will be traveling with my partner. I’ve been to Seattle once before but I want us to really explore what Washington, in general, (willing to take a day trip somewhere exceptional) has to offer. Would love to immerse ourselves in some way.
EDIT : Might have access to a car, but outside of that, we’ll probably be moving around as tourists do. We’ll be there next week!

All assuming you’ll have a car:
- Take a ferry a drive a loop around the peninsula. A few of the many good places for a stop: Hurricane Ridge, Kalaloch, Port Townsend.
- If you’re here after April or so, do the cascade loop (https://www.cascadeloop.com/).
We have a handful of scenic byways, take your pick! https://stateofwatourism.com/scenic-byways/
If you’re here in April, consider visiting the arboretum for all kinds of beautifully flowering trees.
Also think about walking on to a ferry downtown, going to Bainbridge and walking into Winslow. Go have fish and chips at the Harbor Public House.
