I could eat at Cafe Reyes every day and be satisfied.

Excellent food but the slowest service I’ve ever encountered when dining there. Spent over 2 hours in there and the place was mostly empty

That’s the ambience of it being a Cuban restaurant. Meals should be enjoyed. Not rushed through.

May be that they started making what you ordered. Latin food takes time and is best served freshly made (most of it anyways). Even a frozen tamale takes forever. But a reheat would be horrible or something sitting there waiting to be ordered.

If you strike a convo with their staff, it could be even longer. (And if you have enough convos, they'll know your order and have it in before you sit down.) Don't see the problem myself, but I was raised in a similar culture.

Went there during my work’s lunch break is why I had to rush. I enjoy the place but I won’t make the mistake of going during lunch break again

I get what you mean. Yeah it’s not a place to be rushed, it’s a place to savor and enjoy. :)

Treat him with an ounce of kindness and he’ll treat you like family. I went in college and he could tell I was younger and would absolutely insist on giving me free Baklava. Great place all around.

The Public Market. There are so many great choices of different food from a variety of cultures. Our favorite is African Fusion!

I just had a hankering for some crispy pakora from Namaste Woo.

And this isn't for lunch but Doughnut Homies has the best donuts in town in my opinion.

Birchtree Bread Co - good pizza that isn't too heavy (the zucchini and pesto pizza is my favorite) but I usually like to grab a sandwich, soup, and a treat while I'm out and about.

The Boynton is amazing, just don't order the pizza. One of the few places that actually serve haddock 100% of the time when ordering fish & chips.

Belsito’s Deli, Plantation street. Best Italian sub in the city. Gotta call ahead, no walk-ins, drive thru window on the side. Get it with sharp provolone and ALWAYS ask for “the juice” (Kenny’s oil and vinegar mixture).

Kisoro, Spoodles Deli, Nu Kitchen, NERB and you could never go wrong with Chipotle (unless if they run out of chips, which is often lol).

5 Guys. Have never been disappointed with their food or service. We usually go to the one in Lincoln Plaza.

My husband was a chef and I'm a pretty good cook, so we don't like most restaurants. But, 5 Guys makes a good burger.
