odd question maybe! but I don't know how else to make friends! I just moved to the area at the end of September and being free from my bigoted household has allowed me the freedom to transition finally. I'm 28 (in two days) and am in conversation about starting HRT for ftm transition. thing is, I don't really have a support system or like, anyone to hang out with aside from my (very cis) girlfriend.

so like, if you're trans (in any direction! incuding nb!) and over 25, maybe hit me up?

some about me!

my name's Andrew. my hobbies are reading, video games, writing, tea, and music. I enjoy some anime as well and spend time in fandom culture online. been getting into dnd lately.

my bigget caveat on if we'll vibe or not is if you do drugs or smoke anything. weed and drugs give me panic attacks and I'm a little uneasy around alcohol. please be clean if you decide to reach out :)

Just commenting to say I’m happy for you! I don’t fit the criteria for people you’re looking for but wanted to say that I’m glad you’re able to be exactly who you are and I hope you find a solid support system ❤️

You can't live your best life if you can't live your truth <3

I personally wouldn't even know where to suggest because I do know that all people are widely accepted all over....it's the sober people that may be a little challenging to discover?? I think they have some info on NAMI.org or 211.org on activities or social stuff in the area?? Enjoy your newfound freedom. :)

I just texted this post to my trans sister in law. They might reach out 🤷

Hi Andrew, my partner (Ftm) and I (nb- she/they) are both 30, and have a group of friends in the community in the age group as well, but we all have nervous and panic conditions and all use marijuana to manage these. I know you don't vibe with that so that's fine, but if you ever change your stance, hit us up :) It's never pushed, only offered out of politeness because sharing is caring and we vape and use edibles so no skunk smell. I was anti-drugs upon leaving my religious and life-choking home life too, not understanding that the people using them are just trying to cope with things too. No pressure, just, if your stance changes at any point, we'd love to hear from you. We play Nintendo, PS4, d&d, have been in online roleplay communities for game of thrones, Harry Potter, etc., and tons more.

Hey there Andrew, welcome to Worcester and congrats on coming out!

This is not the first time I've plugged this, so I hope people won't be too annoyed at me: if you're into crafts at all, at Technocopia (makerspace in downtown Worcester), we have an open craft night every Thursday night starting at 7, and there are a few awesome trans/queer folks who are a core part of our regular group. Maybe not what you're looking for, but it's a good place to meet people, so I figured I'd throw it out there. And the second Thursday of the month, we always have a pre-planned craft available in case you don't know what to work on!

On a similar note, I know Creative Hub Worcester also recently started hosting a Queer Craft Night on the first Thursday of the month downtown.

Here's a link for that: https://m.facebook.com/events/751932783010937/?ref_source=newsfeed&ref_mechanism=feed_attachment&action_context=%257B%2522action_history%2522%253A%2522null%2522%257D

Hi! Also trans, I do use weed (med card) and drink on occasion so probably not what you're looking for but I wanted to say welcome and good luck anyway :)

Hi Andrew, thank you for sharing this with us! I am glad to see so many people reach out to you. I don’t know if this is exactly what you’re looking for, but you mentioned you like music and I am hosting a free show in Worcester on Sunday. May I dm you the info?

I'm sorry...my son has been sober for 2 years but sadly he lives in Portland, OR, now. I know he would hang out if he were here. Probably introduce you to some of his peeps too. It's hard meeting people nowadays... a lot of them have their anxiety, too, and have a hard time socializing. :(
