We used first friends on Park Ave. highly recommend. Also looked at Shrewsbury children’s center and liked it. This was several years ago.

When looking I avoided kindercare based on stories from staff in other locations but maybe the Shrewsbury one is that bad.

Children's Nest Academy is excellent. If you don't need full day care and can handle a school year schedule, Turn Back Time in Paxton 's program is wonderful as well. Kids have to be preschool age for it. It's a farm school/ nature program, not 5 days a week.

If your kid/s have attended children's nest have you had any communication issues as a parent once your kid started? I've had major communication issues with the owner just trying to coordinate a tour and get basic information. We've toured and are on the wait-list but I've just about given up on following up even though it would save me 40 mins of commuting a day.

No, none at all. It took some time to get in. I was lucky I toured right before covid hit, they got shut down, then we were able to start when daycare was allowed to reopen. They've been great. They are incredibly clean, well organized, clear age appropriate curriculum, really great staff. Several of my coworkers also have started using it and they love it too. I think that there's definitely a wait and probably several openings will be there in the fall when the oldest kids transition to kindergarten, and in June when they move into their summer program.

The initial issues was when I was trying to set up a time to tour and to confirm a space for him with their reopening. Once in, it's been fantastic. My only concern is that they have a low threshold to close with snow. They close almost as often as the public schools do.

Grace in Oxford was an excellent value. Preschool and preK.

Second vote for Children's Nest Academy (Mill St., Worcester). My kiddo has gone there for three years and we love it. It is Montessori style and the do a lot of great programming with the kiddos in the summer too!

I wouldn’t recommend Kindercare in Shrewsbury. Depending on where you live, Little Reflections in Westborough is really good and I’ve heard good things about the Westborough Kindercare.
