Selco is the only option
Selco is good! May not be blazing fast , but it’s fast enough for video calls , tv , browsing and multiple computers
The FCC has a website that shows the available ISPs for a given address https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov
But as the other comment says, Selco is only non wireless option. It's great having an ISP based in town though
You should visit their main website, it list a map of the areas where Selco Fiber will be placed and where it is and will be available, Selco is aiming for a completion near 2024 or 2025 especially in South Shrewsbury. Selco is also the licensed provider in Shrewsbury, so don't expect a different ISP, like Fios or Spectrum.
Starlink is available in shrewsbury as well
r/Shresbury is a good place to start
Some parts of shrewsbury is covered by Verizon. If it’s not, your only option is SELCO.
It's probably DSL and I wouldn't even recommend it for practical reasons. Plus Verizon Fios is currently not planning to roll out in Shrewsbury
What is DCL, SELCO?
Verizon 5G is currently available in parts of Shrewsbury.
ETA: talking about 5G for home internet. I know this for a fact.
Verizon DSL- Basically Fios on ancient technology, it's the same line as on a landline phone
Selco is the cable franchiser of Shrewsbury (and also electricity) so they have rights to be the sole cable tv provider, however, I believe that satellite/dish bases have different agreements. https://www.mass.gov/lists/cable-television-licenses
As for 5g Verizon you are probably correct, however, it depends from home to home for how it works
It does have a data cap at around 400gbs which they believe is enough for most users. So it's like comcast, without the terrible customer support.
SELCO can’t be as much expensive as Spectrum. The price, taxes and fees are obscene

I think that SELCO is the only option. Last I knew everything in Shrewsbury was run by the town. If you have the option we have FiOS in Westboro and haven't had any problems. We stream everything and with Gig speeds haven't had an issue ever.
