Two months. He’s been in the position for two months but yes the absolute worst right? Gimme a break. Your extreme bias is showing

I mean, can you name another speaker in recent history that was in the same position as McCarthy? He's on a short leash that's being held by Gaetz, Boebert, Gomer, etc. Did you forget how Gaetz went out of his way to make McCarthy's road to speaker as humiliating as possible? Biden's administration has already said there won't be any negotiations regarding the debt ceiling. Everyone knows he isn't really in charge of anything. He has a weak hand.

Edit - I guess my basic point is, I can't think of any politician openly capitulating to a small group within his own party like he did. It was embarrassing.

I know and you know, we all know he’s gonna f it up but my point is at least let him f it up before he’s “worst evaaaaarrrrrrr!!!!”

Tucker was given the tapes to build a false narrative that the January 6th wasn't an insurrection. That was the goal of whomever required MCarthy to hand over the tapes for the speaker role.

Or maybe it’s to counter the narrative that “Jan 6th was the worst attack in democracy since the civil war”. Seriously. A bunch of shit heads acted the fool while thousands stood by and didnt participate. Nobody shot the place up. Nobody shot congress people. Nobody burned the building down. Jan 6th fits the “mostly peaceful protests” description MUCH more than the BLM riots and fires and murders and robberies and destruction. Seriously people. In this country, where every left winger screams about how many runs there are in this country, the only person shot was an unarmed girl. But ya, soooo much insurrection!

They invaded the capitol in the hopes of preventing the transfer of power after Benedict Cheetos lost the election. It was quite clear what happened. The only ones saying otherwise are FOX and their ilk attempting to muddy the waters. But I appreciate the racist attempt to draw BLM into the conversation.

Racist? Lemme guess. Nazi, homophobe, anti trans, boot locker, brown shirt, kkk, anti climate, fascist…. Did I miss anything?

So you see no hypocrisy is calling a completely unarmed riot an “insurrection” but killing, looting, robbing and burning gov and private buis is mostly peaceful? Of course you don’t because you’ve picked your side.

So mass protests and the freedom to assemble is an invasion? Was it an invasion during the woman’s march? Million man march? Biker rally? Or is it “invasion” when you don’t agree with it? Such a violent invasion that resulted in one death, no occupying, no guns, no bombs, no fires… but definitely “invasion”. Spare me.

1st amendment applies to everyone just as long as you agree with it right?

I go by the research. Black Lives Matter protests were mostly peaceful. There was nothing about January 6th that was intended to be peaceful, starting with the rally beforehand. Remember, plenty of GOP politicians were frantic as the events unfolded.

I look forward to the DOJ's, & the special counsel's, continued investigation into it. They are already over 300 convictions.

There's been multiple investigations and, quite literally, thousands of arrests with hundreds of convictions so far... Including a known hate group officially being convicted for seditious conspiracy - working with people on the inside with the intent to stop the election. It took years and was proven in court. And you think that is peaceful? When was anyone from BLM charged with (let alone convicted of) seditious conspiracy or was it even discussed that they might be charged with it?

> Nobody shot the place up.

It's been proven and admitted by Oath Keepers that they brought a trove of firearms to DC and stored them, ready to hand them out. Yes, they were armed with stun guns, pepper spray, baseball bats and flagpoles wielded as clubs... And oh yeah several absolutely had firearms.

> Nobody shot congress people.

They were chanting for the death of Mike Pence and there's loads of footage of these people roaming the halls of Congress trying to find Pelosi and other liberals while they're armed to the teeth. Why do you think multiple people were shown with zip-tie handcuffs when they broke into congressional offices? ...What do you think would have happened if this mob had actually gotten face-to-face with liberal representatives?

> Nobody burned the building down.

They trashed the building, raided offices, stole items and paperwork and computers, smeared shit on the walls, smashed windows and statues, but I guess that's all okay because they didn't burn anything down?

> In this country, where every left winger screams about how many runs there are in this country, the only person shot was an unarmed girl.

Calling her "an unarmed girl" is some shit, dude. That's a former Air Force veteran and officer. That's someone with a history of violence and harassment of neighbors. She was shot as she and the rest of the mob were screaming and attempting to overcome a barricade within Congress while being told over and over again to stay back and not go through there by security as they were in the middle of evacuating the politicians from THE VIOLENT AND ANGRY MOB WHO WERE THERE CHANTING FOR THEIR HEADS. She was the first over the barricade so she caught the bullets. She even has a history of losing her mind and ramming her SUV into someone years before the Jan 6th insurrection attempt... And, what, do you think she would have just surrendered and been peacefully arrested once she got over the barricade and got close to those officers?

My dude, Fox and lots of rightwing media has done a number on what people think happened that day. In fact, it's been now proven that Fox knowingly has been misleading the public not just about the Big Lie of the 2020 election but also January 6th.

This Fox “News” bashing is outta control. I don’t tune into the news stations, looking at you cnn and msnbc, to find out about Fox. “Tucker said this”, one host talks about him so much she has a nickname “Tuckums” for him. It’s embarrassing. You don’t see Ford bashing Chevy. With Maddow’s and Hayes and Reid’s long list of falsehoods along with CNN’s constant rotation of hosts who are fired and hired more than I can count all kinds of reasons unbecoming a “respected” news source, it’s just embarrassing.

Report the news. I’m watching CNN for news. If I want to find out Hamburg is a looney toon, I’ll tune into fox. It’s just embarrassing

Okay dude, I am saying this with the intent of reaching out and not being condescending... So please don't take this the wrong way.

You really, really have it twisted with what is happening with Fox News. The reason this is such a big story for other reporters and the reason this is catching all kinds of attention (including from pandering talking heads on the left who are way too gleeful about it) is because it really is an epic shit show.

Fox has been caught - from the head and owner of the network down to the individual star reporters - admitting that they know they are lying and pushing an unfair narrative and that the right-wing politicians on their shows are known to be liars, grifters, and that they cannot stand them. And then they get on TV every night and literally do the opposite. It's proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Fox is purposefully lying with the explicit intention of manipulating its audience.

That's, well, fucking huge. Because while all news outlets still suffer the "we need to tell this story so we can get ratings and help market it to our audience," it is never really outright and blatant lies. And there certainly is never an incredibly detailed digital papertrail showing that everybody is in on the lie.

Places that call themselves news need to report the news or else what they are doing is, well, against the law when they lie about companies and people. They committed libel and defamation and are undermining democracy. This was sorta well known within the public because it was so blatant (which is why late night show hosts have been skewering Fox since the early 90s), but to have it revealed in such a way and being so blatant means that they've finally been caught red handed. Their lies are done with a forethought and intention to deceive the public for malicious intent.

As multiple lawyers and even lawyer-educators who teach law school have said, they can't even use this case as a test of students because it's such an obvious and thorough slam-dunk of a case with a very obvious ending.

Edit: Just gonna downvote me on both replies and refuse to talk about it? You know I have sources, dude. Sounds like reality hurts.
