Where do you life in the city? I would recommend you my local mechanics, but you probably also have good options nearby you. Oil changes are extremely simple, its basically juts drain the old oil out and then put new oil in.
With that being said, I am a Valvoline Guy, because I don't like getting out of my car, and I don't need to make an appointment.

I broke down on the side of 290 a bunch of years back, after triple a left me there for several hours, I ended up calling city tire because they were close.
Chris was super helpful, arranged a tow, and got me back on the road real quick.
The place is my go-to for tires now.

I started doing my own oil changes years ago and saved a lot - full synthetic with Lucas treatment every time for a fraction of what one of those chains would charge me.

Yeah man that sounds about right he’s a good soul. The guys just great all around. I go there for oil changes as well.

I’ve been going to Valvoline. They’re a bit more pricey than say the local mechanics but you don’t even have to get out of your car and they’re quick. Be prepared to say no to the upwelling though.
Edit- upselling.

I also back City Tire. Woke up one morning, had a flat, drove it down to city tire just cause it was the closest place to my apartment and had new tires at a reasonable price in like 90m tops. Went back for my rear tires a little while after too.

I really like meineke in shrewsbury. I've always felt very comfortable with the mechanics there. It's a 100 bucks for an oil change, tire rotation, and basic inspection.

Sprint Lube on Millbury Street is usually pretty quick and they don’t do a lot of upselling. There’s been times I am able to drive right in or just a short wait.
Tried Fullers but they tried to upsell the crap out of me with my last truck, even when I told them I only wanted an oil change. Got a whole laundry list of repairs they proposed.

Fullers is sooo over priced. It's almost on par with a dealership.

Not gonna argue with that but they’ve been great for all of my maintenance. I’ll pay for the peace of mind knowing that it’s done right
