Four of us went two years ago and none would ever go again.

First, it’s five dollars to get in. Okay… I guess, but it seems to me that the food trucks themselves should be paying the rent to the Fairgrounds, not the customers who are there supporting the effort.

Was the food good? No. It was okay, but for all these “specialty” trucks nothing we had was particularly creative or well done.

Was it affordably priced though? No, not at all!! Prices were ridiculous. We tried a number of different offerings from a variety of the vendors. Between entry price and food, probably spent $170+ for a bunch of blasé carnival food served with dirty cans of soda and the cheapest plastic cutlery, napkins, condiments, and paper plates you’ve ever seen.

It’s one of those things that’s a great idea, and if the vendors really tried to deliver quality and value and didn’t treat customers like they were a favor by taking our money and giving barely passable food, it would be great.

But instead it sucked. And if after this review you decide to go anyway, at least you’ve been warned.

Say Cheese is divine. Highly recommended. They used to do this special with pulled pork and mac & cheese. Forget it, best sandwich ever.

There’s a food truck and craft beer festival June 10th. I’d rather just go to that and not get charged an admission fee

There's one on the common in June, one in Millbury in May.... they're all over the place. All equally suck.

Find your favorite food truck this summer and follow it on social media. Say Cheese has two trucks and does the Thursday night in Shrewsbury a bunch and is almost always at Tree House Brewing.
