Both the Auburn and Lake Ave rink have public skates on Friday nights, I believe it’s 6 bucks a person and if you need to rent skates, that’s 5 or 6 bucks a person too.

Skates like this are normally public hockey.

I’m looking more for a family friendly friday night skate type thing like the one someone else mentioned in the common

The state DCR rinks like in Worcester, Auburn, Marlborough have public family skates. Not hockey time.

Admittedly it's been a touch over ten years since I last went, but when I was in middle school, a lot of the kids in my class used to go every Friday for the free-skate period. Provided that things haven't changed, they do offer exactly what you're looking for.

In my area mine did too. It looks like a lot of rinks stopped them after the pandemic. Just looking for a nice friday night date night with a girl who wants to learn how to skate

Worcester Ice Center doesn't offer them anymore? That's a bummer.
