Has anyone recently replaced their roof in Worcester and if so around how much was it? I’m seeing estimates all over the place online so I was hoping for some local examples

It was last year so I’m not 100% on the timeline but I think only 1-2 weeks after I signed off on the quote.

We did our roof thru golden group roofing.
We shopped around, golden group wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the most expensive.
They did an excellent job.
My tip is - Don't cheap out. Its hard to figure out what the roofer or the maintainence person is doing, so best to go with someone thats reputable.

Definitely don't want to get taken for a ride, but don't want to choose based on price alone.
I don't have anything recent so my estimates would be off. I'd say that depending on roof size, height, and angles all play a role in the cost which is where you might see variations online without getting someone to look at it.
I've had really good luck with Empire roofing, though they'd gotten quite busy pre-Covid so not sure how they are now.
Also had Tip Top and can't recommend them to anyone. Had the guy out to look at a specific issue; didn't need the roof replaced but was fine having it replaced to address this one issue. They came out, replaced the roof and the issue remained. Had the sales guy come out again to look at it and he said that we never spoke about that issue....the issue that was the sole purpose for having the roof done. There were other issues with that job but that's the part that sticks the most.

We just had ours done. We got quotes in the fall of 2020 and didn’t go forward at that time, so I was really worried about how much more it would be now. We paid $10k all in, which was only $2kmore than our cheapest quote 2 years ago, so not that bad.
The well-known roofing companies were the highest quotes we got (tip top and kid-lukko). We called Seven Hills and they never returned our call.

CPR Roofing out of Shrewsbury. Pricing was competitive and it was about 3 weeks from quote to completion. It only took them a day for a full rip off and replacement which probably helps with the scheduling. A larger job might have a longer wait time. Very happy with the work / experience.

We used Seven Hills Roofing to replace part of our roof that had damage from an ice dam. They did a great job and charged just under 2K (it was about 20-25% of the roof).
