Still free! I think they extended it again until June of 2023. I ride the 16 frequently to commute between Grafton Hill and downtown for work. Love it!

WRTA is free. MBTA local buses are $1.70 with a Charlie Card or $11 for a 1-day pass.

The buses are pretty good, though they may arrive early or late so factor in arriving early to the stop and give yourself a buffer of time if you need to arrive somewhere by a specific time.

I have ridden the WRTA twice. Once when I was a teenager and could not drive, and then the second time when a WRTA bus was used for a tour of historical Worcester.
