Just was approached in the parking lot of Lowe’s Lincoln St. 2 guys in a car, FL plates probably a rental. “Do you want a home theater? We have some extra speakers.”

Please contact the Worcester PD, some folks scammed a woman in a target parkinglot yesterday with a similar tactic.

I haven't seen those guys since college when they were driving around Boston in a white van. Glad to see they still have that entrepreneurial spirit.

What's the scam

They convince you it’s worth a couple grand, even show an ad from someplace like Craigslist. And say the vendor sent extra by mistake so they just want some lucky person to give them $500 for equipment that’s really worthless.

It's a VERY old scam and tis the season for this scam, people in a parking lot looking to sell some expensive electronic item and they put bricks or phone books in the box to add weight.

I got hit up the first time about 20 years ago at White City. That’s how I recognized it this time.
