We called Ford's when we had squirrels nesting in our soffit, which turned out to be kind of useless. They trapped 2 in humane traps, but didn't do anything about remediating the issue of how they got in in the 1st place. I ended up having to patch the soffit myself, so it was a semi-expensive move of 2 squirrels

Well you could go to Cabellas and get a cage/trap and do it yourself for less than $50

Very valid. I'm going to do a deeper dive this weekend before committing to a service.
Being a new home, I'm not 100% against them checking every nook and cranny for entry points. If it's glaringly obvious, I'll certainly do myself.

Advantage of getting a trap is you can deal with critters whenever they arrive. Placing a small dish with a bit of peanut butter is probably enough. Bad news is you then need to drive the unlucky rodent somewhere to release. Place a cloth over the cage to keep them calm, and wear gloves.

Your bigger issue is how are they getting in (like noted above). Soffit, or you have gaps somewhere where air only is expected in. If you get an energy audit, they will block off alot if not all of the gaps as part of an insulating job.

Good luck!

We used Colonial when we bought our house. They had to do roach, flea, and carpenter ant treatments. That was almost a decade ago and no problems since. They do rodents as well, but I can't speak to those services specifically.

I'll give them a try. Thank you.

We switched from Fords to Colonial. I would 100% definitely recommend them over Fords.

I had one in my attic. I covered the place with dryer sheets. It was gone in a day. Maybe I got lucky but I’ve done this w boats and campers. Keeps all kinds of rodents away. Maybe you get lucky and the $4 solution works while you look for pros

I’ve had the same issue. What worked for me was spraying the attic with peppermint essential oil and throwing a bunch of dryer sheets around. It worked for about 6 months, I’m actually due to do that again now since they’re back

I've used the bug bully for all critters in my attic and basement

Looking on their site, it seems like monthly rodent control which hopefully isn't the only option. Ty.
