hello! I just moved to the area at the end of October and I was curious about how queer friendly people are here and if there're any dedicated bars or lounges or anything really for queer folk. thanks!

Worcester seems remarkably queer to me but I don't know of any place solely queer; most of what I'e seen is generally inclusive. I'm not a lounge person but I like wine. The wine store in the Public Market is lesbian owned. Dead Horse Hill has a great bar. Redemption Rock has a lot of events. Check out https://www.loveyourlabels.org & JMAC. Welcome & hope that helps!

Honestly anytime I walk by that spot on the way to Diem I always wonder if people achually go there. Seams like a windowless brick basement, not the most like.... Gay place in the city

I always found Ralph’s diner to be accepting of everyone. Very much a counter culture type place. I used to go multiple times per week but I moved out of town a few years ago and haven’t been in a while.

Redemption Rock brewing is the only place in worcester that I have seen do bathrooms right. Just a line of powder rooms.

The Malebox? But we are generally cool with queer folk. Even the real working class folks ok don’t normally give a fuck. Electric Haze had some queer nights too.

I see you just moved here. Counties aren't really a thing in New England. Yes, they exist, but we don't use them in any geographic orientation sense and if you reference something in terms of the county people will be very whaa?

I’m not so sure of that, I think most Worcester county residents are semi-familiar with it.

Familiar with it, yes. But our counties aren't used for anything. They aren't even a good indicator of homogeneity. For example, while Worcester seems fairly queer-friendly, there are areas in northern Worcester County that decidedly are not.

i moved here from Plymouth county so in my experience it's a good enough region indicator, but thanks!
