I’m growing my hair out (very short now but will need some styling soon) and could use recommendations for hair experts who are good at unisex cuts that can go both ways as my hair gets longer. Worcester area, Metrowest, even Boston. Thanks!

Fleet Street Barbering Company on Grafton Street. Go see Edie! They are LGBTQ friendly!

Seconding this. It’s a great place and known for being an ally. Be warned that they have an adorable dog who will lick you and try to play fetch with you!

I’d pay just to play fetch with an adorable dog, no haircut required.

Fourthed! I love them. Just had mine done by Fabienne in October. She's an excellent stylist and colorist.

Came here to suggest them. Definitely trans friendly and do lots of cool cuts, and are also super nice.

Scrolling through their Instagram, do they only do like 2 styles? Is the place owned by Caryl Rae Jepsen?

Dunno if they're the best pick style-wise, but Heartland Barber is trans-friendly.

I was in the same boat not that long ago. Sandi's City Styles is right off of route 9 between Worcester and Shrewsbury. They don't go out of their way to say they are trans friendly but they have been very nice and accepting of me. They've even helped me with some of the basics I didn't get growing up. I will say that it looks like there clientele is a little in the older side, but I'm almost 40 myself and not looking for a fashion model hair style.

Shandi's Hair Fusion in Worcester is fantastic. She is a very experienced and creative stylist, and fosters a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in her space.

I'm not sure if she still works there (I haven't been in ages) but JiJi at 126 Post Salon on June Street was always a treat to see! Trans friendly and familiar with different hair textures if that's something you need.
