This is a first for me, so I live across the street from a college with street parking and my driveway isn't big enough to accommodate all the cars in my residence so I park my old car that's in need of a lot of TLC across the street. I haven't actually driven it in at least a few months but I walked over to it to get some stuff out of the trunk and noticed I had a violation ticket on my windshield for my car having a red rejection sticker. I haven't driven the car for that exact reason and I'm still getting ticketed for it? How do I even appeal this because that makes no sense to me at all and I feel like it's just a metermaid trying to get some easy quota out of me

The ONLY way to NOT get ticketed is for the vehicle to be OFF THE STREET.
Your vehicle is literally not safe to be on the road (street). You have to find off street parking.
