Darn! This thread reminded me I forgot to pick up my pictures yesterday at LB WHEATON!

Just FYI, if you google it, it says it is permanently closed. It is still open they just moved locations. They are not on Park Ave anymore, but off Franklin Street.

Wheaton has had some serious wait times lately just so you’re aware. If you’re okay with waiting about two months, you’re all good.

I think they are getting quicker now. They are recently moved locations and that slowed them down.

However they do send the film out to get the negatives and they wait until they have a bigger batch to send in. So that is why it sometimes takes a while. Then they print from the negatives which only takes a few minutes.

Do you know where the new location is? Dropped off a roll of film with them in july, and then I just assumed they closed shop and was never gonna that roll back.

I know they send them out and my last batch was dropped off at the new location. I wasn’t aware they wait to get some more sometimes, though. I don’t ask for prints unless I have some shots I really like, then I’ll ask for them specifically :)

I used to take it to the little Fotomat kiosk in the White City shopping center parking lot. (Right near the Strawberries Records & Tapes). Is it no longer there? 😏

Around town, aside from a CVS you might need to send away for it tbh

When i worked at CVS we ended up getting rid of the developing and printing machines and switched over to sending them out unfortunately.

I home develop black and white, it's not difficult. Color gets sent to either Memphis Film Lab or Old School Phot lab in Dover, NH.

Standard caveat, color film and developing gets expensive real fast.

I've never used Wheaton's, because I figure I can send film out on my own, I have been there to pickup other stuff though, and they seem like nice folks.
