Fish and chips similar to Manchester. Big thick chips, a gravy or curry sauce on top of everything. Also, a kebab pizza with a garlic sauce. Any other suggestions of take out types in or near here that is similar to England? Thank you!

None around here unfortunately. I’ve heard Foleys does a great fish and chip but have never been because their hours are weird. There was a place in Brighton many years ago called The Battery but it didn’t last very long.

I think Emerald Meats has the chipper curry sauce from a powder, the closest you can get is probably getting chips somewhere and then doing that at home. That's what we do anyway, haven't found anything close to what you can get over there anywhere in the area.

For fish and chips go to Foley and Sons on Plantation Street on Friday. They're only open on Fridays. Get there early before they run out of fish.

Stones Public House in Ashland is the only place outside of 128 I’ve seen curry fries. Fries aren’t thick cut, though. Original chef was Irish and some of his his execution/recipes are still on the menu. Overall, food’s pretty good.
