I asked this same question in the fall, the universal answer was basically no, which sucks because it's incredibly hard to get friends out to play basketball in the summer/warmer months when it's free.

Getting people to get a membership to a Y or another place with a court is impossible.

If you want to play ball, Greendale Y has 50$ a month memberships and they have open runs often, I haven't played there, but that's the go-to.

Yeah it sucks, I have to work like 2 hours a week convincing my friends to run games every friday in the summer, calling, texting, etc.

I had no hope come winter once I knew I'd have to convince them to get a membership, so no ball for me until Spring.

Do you mean Blessed Sacrament? I used to play there a long time ago; great court.

Sometimes Worcester State U is available worth a check.

Did they change that? When I went there as a student you were supposedly not allowed to use the court (this was in the old gym right before it got torn down). Went my entire time at WSU with no gym and no courts.

From what I can remember from the brief tour. The gym is available to the public but is closed when the teams are practicing & games. I brought my daughters there to shoot hoops.

It’s not free but the courts at the ywca are almost always available after school hours. 40 dollars a month for a month to month membership. YMCA is the same price but gets pretty crowded.
