Nowadays could have been anything...maybe the potholes got together and laid the guilt trip for talking about them and the city had to backtrack on reality because they were insulted.....ya know how it goes....can't be honest without offending someone and having to "apologize" for speaking the truth. #merica

I'm thinking it was the implication of an unfaithful partner that was the problem... That's my take on it as far as being "inappropriate"

The joke itself was actually funny imo šŸ˜‚

No, that's just called the natural consequences of behaving like a twat. If you want to behave like a shitty child then expect to be treated likewise. That's how social interactions work. You don't get to be an asshole running your mouth without social consequences. You know the term... consequences for your actions. I'm sure a boomer can understand that.

Yeah I saw it on Twitter, completely stupid that it had to be taken down. Its a popular meme and I havenā€™t heard a peep out of anyone about it for literally years until now. I suppose the implication is that itā€™s wrong for the boyfriend to be interested in the other girl because itā€™s cheating, but I doubt most of the people getting offended over it would feel the same way if the genders were reversed.

As I understand from the Facebook comments it was reported by a Clark University student from NYC and I am completely unsurprised Lmfao.

Yeah, and I mean I get that Iā€™m probably coming across as judgy with that comment, maybe I am, but it just really irks me that Iā€™ve heard no one complaining about the meme for years and then an elite outsider shows up to coach the city on how offensive it was even though 99% of the population likely couldnā€™t care less about it.

Maybe because that meme is about 10 years old now? SM people at the city need to stay up to date?

Heā€™s staring at a womanā€™s ass lustfully and the implication is that a job with the city is similarly desirable. Id imagine just by being alive and aware that people have opinions that it is unwholesome to some as objectifying to women and over sexualized in general.

I donā€™t think this is what they did but hear me out. If you wanted something to be seen it would be brilliant to put something so non harmful up only to take it down purposefully under the impression that there was something juicy there. If youā€™re like me you thought it was a bombshell and went looking and actually saw the ad that you would not have seen otherwise. Increased the eyeballs on the ad and no one gets hurt itā€™s the perfect idea.

One word: Accountability. If it was something seriously inappropriate (like when someone on the police union FB page posted a meme of the mayor with a Hitler mustache - yes, that actually happened) I would want to make sure that it was actually addressed instead of being deleted and swept under the proverbial rug.

The problem is everything seems to be taken so literal to the point that everyone wants to crucify you over it. People are different and have opposing opinions that donā€™t match with others. What some might find humor in, others will be horrified by. Itā€™s wrong that the ā€œrandomā€ public are the ā€œlawyerā€ the ā€œjudgeā€ and the ā€œprosecutorā€ all in one. Itā€™s insane people will take time out of their lives to discredit and ruin someoneā€™s life over a distasteful joke or a comment. Regardless to what it is. Bad things happen to people all over the place . Put time into real things. Oct 15 Waterhouse shooting 6 victims . Fatal Double shooting at Bettyā€™s?!? What ? None ? Only pampered people that are uncomfortable with living along people with opposite opinions really care about A FACEBOOK POST. NOT REAL LIFE Have you seen whatā€™s on twitter ? Beheading, porn, public executions. No one bats an eye. But GOD FORBID I refer to someone as he/him. I can tell your the exact type Iā€™m talking about. Whether involved or if you just support it. Your the problem.

I had to comment šŸ˜ itā€™s just so silly how people who are nervous to talk in front of 4 strangers become these heros online.
Please grow up . You must be older than 30 you saw different generations. Donā€™t let 2022ā€™s political agenda leave lost in the sauce šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļø
