Like Joe, you lost the race for Senate, doesn't that tell you something?

Sure, but the main argument of the opposition was that if Joe wins, he'd no longer be mayor, and Colorio would take over.

Pretty much an endorsement.

This was the main argument for the Senate race. The City council could have another candidate could over take Colorio's voting number. Petty's prominence is inflated by the Mayoral designation. So without him running things could lead to a Colorio upset, but it also could lead to someone else getting some more of the limelight decreasing Colorio's overall vote.

But my point was that him losing the race against Kennedy wasn't imply people rejected him; many saw him and Kennedy as not much different, but just didn't like Colorio becoming interim mayor.

Who?

Unfortunately, since Petty has been on the job so long, no other legit sane contender has stepped up.

Colorio is maybe the only other person who's been gunning for the mayor seat for so long now. And she is anything but sane.

Unless someone else steps up, it feels inevitable that batshit lady will take his seat next few years.
