They are apparently behind schedule due to getting all the goods & product to stock the store and setting up a transport infrastructure to keep the new store stocked because the forecast is that this store will have a ton of customers.

Should be in the next month or so. I know someone who was hired to work there.

All their shelving is still sitting in China. Same reason Park and Shop in Auburn hasn't reopened.

If the Oxford store is any kind of analogue, 'ton of customers' needs to be redefined. That store opens its doors with a line of people waiting every day. Not 5 or 6 folks--a line of people.

Any random summer Tuesday there, it's busier than any other market I have seen--even if it was Shaw's on the day before Thanksgiving, if 2 feet of snow was forecast, and it was the last place for 25 miles with milk, bread, and eggs.

Don't get me wrong, I still shop at the Oxford Market Basket. But it's taught me how crotchety, miserable, mumbling, old New England people are made.

[Which is why I smile at others, look both way before exiting an aisle, and make sure that I give the cashiers exactly zero guff.]

I got so excited the other day thinking it was open. I was at Trader Joes in Shrewsbury and typed in "market basket" to see where the closest one was to me. The Shrewsbury one popped up, but going back to google there were pictures posted 3ish weeks ago of all the fixturing in, but nothing stocked yet. I am glad I came across this thread because I was wondering as well.

I live in Holden (but on the Princeton side) and go to the Leominster Market Basket weekly. There are a handful of products that I love from Traer Joes, but I only make it there once a month or so. I am so glad I will be able to hit up TJ and MB in the same town soon!

I've only been to the Oxford one a few times to get a few things (not a full shopping) and it didn't bother me.

I go to the Leominster one at the mall and it's nuts always. I try to go around 6:45am to get in and get out. That's the only time it's not busy.

I recently went to the one in Littleton and the store layout is the reverse from what I am used to and it was so unbelievably terrible.
