Stay away from Cookies, horrible customer service and don't stand behind what they sell. Plus most of their flower options are stall over priced mids. I had a vendor basically telling them to replace a product, that they would be credited for it. Ross from what I gather refused... The vendor took care of me themselves... I'll note here is I've had returns at many other dispensaries as I buy to much weed, and I have never had an issue. See my post history for more details on why you should stay away from Cookies.

Good Chemistry, Mission, Mayflower and The vault is the way to go.

Botanist and clear sky get honorable mentions.

Resenate and Diem gets a note worthy. I don't frequent them often enough to have a better option, I haven't any issues the few times I've gone. Except some dry bud from Diem, but that's because it was patriot cares flower and packed months prior, I smoked it non the less lol

Buds is over priced now, and trueville is just expensively over priced.

Major bloom is great the couple times I've been there, it just has horrible parking in a really sketchy area. I may try their delivery service at some point.

And Sunnyside, is Sunnyside. A little expensive, but you can't go wrong typically. My go to for cheap edibles, those 100mg hexibars will smack you lol

Tbh I'd stay clear of the Botanist unless you live nearby. I've friends in the industry and everything I hear out of there has been awful lately.

I have heard more than good, than bad about them, Ive only been there once lol /r/bostontrees seems to like them, that's why I gave it an honorable mention. Clear Sky I frequent offen case they have the cheapest Cresco cartridges and concentrates you'll find anywhere.

I'll take your word for it though, the one cured resin cart I got from them was dog shit lol

Clear sky is the best, cheapest 1g carts out there

1

operator_1337 t1_j37qjsx wrote

Only the Cresco liquid live resin 1g carts though, the rest of the 1gs from Select, Rythm, High supply, etc can all be gotten at other dispensaries in the area for around the same price. Sunnyside for example has tons of 1g Rythm and select carts for $50+tax. That's the same price that clear sky sells them at..

What’s wrong with them? They have a pretty great rewards program. They’re usually my go-to for that alone.

I used to only go to Cultivate and Good Chem. I got mad when Sunnyside bought Cultivate though. Although, I can’t be mad at their renewal discounts.

Decreased quality product and severe reduction in sales/promotions are the biggest complaints I hear. They lost a lot of goodwill during the Wednesday debacle a few months back. I also hear bitterness from the staff about the rewards, but they ofc can't use them. There's a lot more competition these days, so I get why their promotions aren't as good as before.

What's the Wednesday debacle?

rosie2490 t1_j2ywpfd wrote

Am also confused about “the Wednesday debacle”.

I’ve never had an issue with their rewards. In fact, they gave me a couple hundred points once because of some mishap with being charged twice on their end (which was immediately remedied anyway).

I am trying to only do homegrown this year... but I support free and healthy cannabis business and that includes the banks too. fair hiring, unions, and judicious regulations in favor of the people.

Great resource - thanks for putting this together! I'll also add that many of these accept CanPay (app that links to debit card to avoid additional fees). Their app shows Good Chem, Resinate, Trulieve, The Botanist, Bud's Goods, and Mayflower - some may also accept it as an online payment method.

This is awesome! I am having a problem though where every link in the directory brings me to the dispensary page.

CannabisConfidential OP t1_j2xd75l wrote

Thanks! I think i may have fixed it, but if not it may be a browser or substack issue.

NativeMasshole t1_j2xg2en wrote

Nah, still having the same problem. I'm on mobile, if that helps you figure it out.

When I voted for legalization, it was based on the promise that the licenses and businesses would all be local. That promise was pure bullshit, in retrospect.

2

operator_1337 t1_j2yogee wrote

It is local, everything is grown, cultivated, harvested, tested, inside of Massachusetts. Same with post processing for concentrates, and edibles, all done within the state boarders. It legally has to be.

The issue is these operations, while "local" are actually run/financed by out of state hedge firms and or have major funding sources that are located outside of Massachusetts, as there is no law that tells you where you can get funding from.

CoolAbdul t1_j2yrfy2 wrote

And the profits end up going out of state as well...to big companies/investors in Colorado, Oregon etc.

Thanks! I wanted to know more about who delivers. I remember Good Chemistry used to deliver during the pandemic but they don't anymore. =(

CannabisConfidential OP t1_j2xd2oo wrote

Yeah it's a bit trickier to keep track of medical only delivery operators (there are more of them and their delivery ranges change often) but I'm going to add more details about them soon!

Resinate delivery is medical only, haven't added details about med-only deliveries yet.

And as others have pointed out, KindRun is most definitely not out of business..

The vault is the best imo, fairly on the cheaper side and it has pretty good weed quality.

My two cents:

Mission, Resenate, and Mayflower are places you go to for lesser quality but good deals if you think their product are nice. Good Chem and Botanist have great quality very often but not every time. Trulieve (aka Clear Sky / Blue River Terps) literally killed an employee through negligence and is one of the worst MSO's around that practices incredibly scummy business that literally fights to give them a monopoly / keep smaller companies out / lobbies against the right to grow at home. They have some good stuff but giving them money is basically helping to make the cannabis industry worse in the US.

Sunnyside, Diem, the Vault, Major Bloom, and other places are very much hit or miss depending on what you buy - most of what comes from their personal stuff is mids quality IMO (or they only wholesale from others). And if you like their stuff, no judgement on you because we all have our tastes but I've yet to see anything from any of these places that has impressed my cannabis snob tastes.

It's a schlep, but I do recommend checking out Local Roots out in Sturbridge for their hash and flower or products from Bountiful Farms out in Natick are very often excellent as well. Of course, lots of great caregivers and small dispensaries in Maine and there's even a few small batch places that sell to a couple of the RI dispensaries (although that's definitely a pain in the dick to go through).

Home grown is the way to go. For newbies, get a 2x2 or 3x3 space in your home, get a cheap growtent setup with a LED, buy some cheap supersoil like Ocean Forest, and plant a few autoflower seeds or clones you get from a dispensary. Water for a few weeks, once in flowering or flipping to flowering get yourself a cheap organic bloom booster and feed once a week. Keep the temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s in the tent while your lights are on. That's it. You too can have 3-6oz per plant yields and be growing for like $10/oz of whatever strain you want. ...And then after enough practice and runs, you'll eventually get it down cheaper and cheaper and better and better quality.

Dispensary products are absolutely disgusting. If you have no other choice, Good Chemistry is the only option.

operator_1337 t1_j2yqqqq wrote

If you're suggesting the grey and black market, that is even worse...

If you're suggesting legal mom and pop grow ops up in Maine, I'm 100% behind you. I'd also be 75% behind growing your own, but not everyone can do that, including myself.

But I wouldn't trust grey/black market weed at all these days, it's laced with everything and the amount of pesticides is sheer un thinkable.

I'm not saying it's perfect, but if you do your homework you'll find great quality flower.

HimynameisBrad t1_j2ytepc wrote

Maine medicinal market all the way. Quality and price is so far beyond what mass dispensaries can offer.
