Is there anywhere close by (that’s not Dunkin) with just ‘normal’ donuts? I don’t want Lucky Charms on it or for it to be bagel sized and three inches thick. Please!

Boston Donuts on Park Ave, Dippin Donuts on Main St. I can vouch for the quality of neither.

Second Dippin. They remind me of 90s Era Dunkin Donuts. Solid.

Avoid. Dunkin imitators. Not good - pretty much exactly like Dunkin (awful donuts, worse coffee).

Go to Donut Express. It's on the Worcester Auburn line by Hope Ave rotary. They have donuts like Dunkin used to have. Plus a dozen donuts it like $9.

For anyone who is curious, this is what they shared on their Instagram about reasons for closure:

"This is largely a personal decision to fully shift our time, energy, and focus to our growing family and our careers outside of Glazy. This decision has also been influenced by the staggering rise in food costs and the incredibly difficult labor market."

Basically sounds like it was getting harder to run and they have other things going on in life. Bummer.

TBH: I'm kind of wondering why they opened a second location/business (Mochi Doh) recently if they weren't feeling it so much anymore though. Maybe timing was weird? I vaguely remember there being a huge gap between them announcing a second business and them opening. IDK. Either way RIP beautiful soul xoxox gone 2 soon (EDIT: my bad I was confused by Mochy by Glazy versus Mochi Doh!!! I feel dumb lol)

Is the Worcester doughnut market saturated?

I’m not familiar, are they located in the Kelley square area?

They’re at DCU Center. Sounds like it’s a variety reasons they’re closing down including rising costs and the labor market.

Rocco’s < Glazys and it’s not close.

Rocco’s just throws candy and cereal toppings on regular donuts. The Glazy Susan donut quality is outstanding and they do an amazing job integrating flavors

I don't think being at the DCU was great for them

Now where will I get my Saffron dusted, Gold Flake, cornmeal, alpine blueberry birthday cake donut that costs 13 dollars?!

Dang, they had some great chai and matcha teas. Anywhere else good around town to get some?

Donut scene is pretty legit in Worcester. On top of the reasons stated for closing, Boston Donut, Donut Express, Rocoo's, etc. make for stiff completion.

I’m so, so sad that they’re closing. I had these at my wedding. We had at least 15-20 donuts left over. I ate at least 2 a day.

I remember when they were just a pop up as well. Rip glazy. Please come back soon.
