Anyone who went to Shh Booms back in the day knows cougars have inhabited Worcester for a long time now.

Asking for a friend, what is the cougar bar of choice these days?

I had one advancung on me at Vincent's. I diverted her attention to an older gentleman who was laughing watching her advances, she fell for the bait. His expression changed from amusement to fear instantly. Who's laughing now old timer?

My uncle saw a deer carcass up in a tree last year in Burriville, RI. They’re around!

I saw one up in a tree in Sutton a few years ago. Hilariously I was told “it was probably kids trying to scare hikers.”

Could it have been a bobcat?

Not big enough, I'm assuming they mean an adult deer. A baby, maybe but I don't think they store their food the same way.

I believe MA fish & wildlife has been denying their existence for years when sightings occur. There has been sightings within the last few years near Worcester/Holden line.

One was confirmed cougar roadkill in CT. If there, why not here?

I saw a roadkill cougar back sometime around 2016/2017 on the Mass Pike between Westborough and Framingham. The animal was as big or bigger than a deer and a long tail -- I am 100% certain it was a cougar.

I expect that there are definitely cougars around here in the wild, but they are probably escaped/released pets.

I saw one in Warren several years ago. They’ve been here for a while now.

Looks to me like the cougars are judiciously avoiding Fitchburg and Leominster.

As far as I know, cougars don't eat trash

mtbmike t1_j42ftqy wrote

Yeah they only feed on deer and smaller prey. So as long as you’re median Worcester weight (300lbs) you’ll be fine!

I saw what I thought was a bobcat crossing the road recently but thought it’s tail was longer than normal. It was near a conservation area in East Brookfield

When I was a kid in the mid 90s there was a rumour going around among other kids I knew that there was a cougar on the loose here in Worcester. Was this just my friend group or was this something other kids heard about?
