Taking a job as UMASS, are there any decent rental companies? I’m in Milwaukee and none here are honest and I’m gonna guess it’s the same there. Anyway any leads would be great. I read all the posts here for the last few weeks and didn’t see anything about rental companies posted

Check out Princeton place apartments on plantation st, it is within walking distance to UMass

Even closer than that are the apartments on Plantation Ridge, one of which is called Audubon , up a hill from the hotel.

But all the apartment complexes are at a higher price than what you can find in one of the triple-decker buildings. The new apt complexes usually have central air if that's something you prioritize. If it's not a big deal, the older buildings will usually have more space fir your money. You can find info on them with things from Craigslist to trulia.

I know I had tons of space in a triple but my mom had a walker and can’t do staircases major bummer. I got the area down thank you very much

Stay away from any property managed by micozzi inc. they’re pretty much the reason I stopped renting. Like firefighters can’t turn off their private alarm systems and management can’t be bothered so alarms stay on in winter on a weekend for 2 hrs. Guests can’t bring a dog. Marijuana is reported, and they constantly let non maintenance strangers in for this/that. Office Jennifer is Rude as heck on the phone. She’s probably gone now though but I have a feeling complaints always sour the office and they act like slumlords

Many of my friends who work for UMASS live in Madison Place in Shrewsbury. It's a nice place to live, and I have heard great things about their management and maintenance team. Check it out.
