Right now, do pay some attention to the hot water D&D is in with their game license change plans. The 5e Subreddit is talking at length about it. (Link to megathread).

That said, Worc could definitely stand to support a larger TTRPG Community! I’d love to see more games here!

Playing a local game has no effect on WOTC or the OGL. The major form the protest has taken is cancelling D&D Beyond subscriptions, which I didn't even have in the first place.

A local game can have a slight impact on WotC in the form of Players and DMs buying books, starter kits, and whatnot from WotC.

I mentioned it here since many D&D newcomers responded to this thread who might value learning that the current game license is worth looking into, and so they might make an informed decision on it: pro, con, neutral, or to abstain.
