Looking for a bar/restaurant/venue to host an engagement party in Arlington. We will have roughly 30-40 people and would prefer just like a blocked off section of the place. Having TVs to watch sports is a must!

I live in DC and there are lots of places that do this with no minimum, but I’m just not as familiar with northern VA.

I held my engagement party of a similar size very recently at Ragtime in the Courthouse area of Arlington.

It's next door to a hotel, has a blocked off room in the back that can be used for events, has TV's on the walls, a good selection of drinks, and has great food.

They don't charge for the space, but there is a food and beverage minimum. It was very easy for my party of a similar size to hit (and surpass lol) the minimum. They were also very easy to work with.

I’ll second this place for all of these reasons and add that it’s very close to the Courthouse Metro if that matters for your guests.

Another nice place that meets your criteria is William Jeffrey’s Tavern.

I once went to an engagement party at Lyon Hall that was quite nice.

Prospect House rents the top level room for events. Though I’ve never been, the view will be impeccable given the angle. Building isn’t too bad either.

It's Alexandria, not Arlington, but Southside 815 in Old Town would be a good venue for this. It's a pretty large bar with lots of TVs and big dining area that could probably be reserved for events. Ample free street parking is available all around, prices are reasonable and they have some of the best bar tending staff in the DMV.
