New to the area. We’ve been to the Angelika and Regal Ballston for basic shows, but I’d like to go see Avatar in the most ridiculous, maximalist 3D IMAX Dolby HDX HFR experience possible. I see there’s an IMAX at Lockheed and one in Chantilly. Anyone have a qualified recommend of where to get my money’s worth?

I saw it at the AMC in Court House and thought the experience was good.

I don’t have any other theaters in the area to compare as a reference point unfortunately

I loved it there- cozy lounge seats, not too close to the people next to you.

Agree with this. We saw the star wars sequels there,.and it's one of the most over the top ways to watch a movie.

Watched Top Gun: Maverick there and it was awesome. Only thing is that seats are first come first serve so you will probably need to be there quite a bit before the showing (1-1.5 hours) before doors open to get good seats

AMC Tysons Corner IMX 3D was gorgeous for Avatar 2. Clean, too.

Laser IMAX is HFR and the best viewing I’ve had so far. Saw it in laser, Dolby 3d and real 3d. Laser IMAX blows the others away.
