Sawing open the chest? No, horrible and rough, but around a year the body heals.

The initial pain? Again, really horrible, but you get past it.

Forgetting words and phrases you've learned throughout your life? Yeah, this sucks. It's like someones wiped a partition in the headspace, and that stuff is lost. That sucks
