Very common! Cats like running water in nature as instinct tells them it is more likely to be filtered and thus clean and free of microbes.

Very true. That's why I tried the fountain with filter. I still have the setup and maintain it just in case I'm not home to give her water from the sink.

My cat used to only drink from the tub faucet then moved to only drinking from the kitchen faucet and now only drinks water from a classy glass cup. Heโ€™s a turd

Cats prefer running water, in nature i means itโ€™s cleaner. You could get a water fountain cat machine to get them to hydrate more. I noticed a difference in how soft my cats coat was when I got my water fountain for him.

Mine too..she's spoiled. My brother who lives with me HATES this, and hates that I indulge her, but there's no way I am not going to give a thirsty kitty a drink!
