Ah, okay. I never see any snakes around here, so while I do like them, I'm not too versed on what type/kind of snakes exist.

I'm in canada, new Brunswick and to my knowledge it looks like a green snake or a garter snake but still very tiny!

I was wondering why you picked it up. In Australia, picking up a snake that looks similar to that has a good chance of you in hospital or worse.

yea I love snakes but where I live dont think theres many extremly dangerous snakes and besides it was the size of a small worm so i wasnt worried!

It's a very light color morph of a Ring-Neck Snake, 14 sub-species, all with varying color spectrums. Characterized by the ring around it's neck, and usually a highly contrasting color on their belly scales. Mildly venomous, but no threat to humans, as that is about as big as they get. They eat worms and things.
