As someone from New Zealand I sometimes forget that they arenโt treated as pests and the spawn of satin elsewhere in the world like they are here, itโs kind of a pity considering how adorable they can be.

As someone from Queensland - they might be cute, but goddamn are they annoying, and could they kindly find someone elseโs roof to fight on?

I saw this and thought "Cute!? Sure, but that thing is a pest!" until I noticed the extra star. It is a shame they are a pest here though.

I had no idea that they were considered a pest over in NZ ๐

Yeah itโs actually a really big problem here, they eat the native trees and bird eggs and they are absolutely everywhere. Putting out traps for them is quite common and possum fur clothes are also pretty common.

Yeah, we've had a possum caught on our camera a few nights walking along the fence...night 4 of the possum trap being set tonight, first 2 nights it was raining heavily so it didn't come, oddly didn't come last night either...here's hoping it comes tonight and decides to take a bite from the trap!
