Why is there a serval in your living room, and why does it have a dog collar on?

Some people think it's cool to keep them as pets. Others (and there is definitely overlap here) use them to breed Savannah cats.

Because it was bedtime, so she was inside from her yard - servals bond very hard and prefer to sleep with their person. And she has a collar for the same reason any animal does - safety :)

I have to ask - do they get along?!

If they’re sitting on the same sofa, they should be cool. Cats that hate each other generally won’t share the same space.

How does a person tell if the serval is pure or first or second generation?
