I was just wondering if anybody has seen any this year. Normally by now I feel like I would see it at giant or Eddie’s or Whole Foods but not this year. I know patisserie poupon and bonjour have the traditional style but I was looking for the NOLA kind. Thanks!

I’m on the hunt for one as well. Fresh Market and Harris Teeter seemed to have the basic boxed ones but they all seem sold out.

It's very difficult to find New Orleans style without just ordering one from Louisiana. I gave up years ago.

Giant! Start looking now. They already have the HotCeossBuns.

Atwater’s sells a king cake—can’t comment on how ‘Nola’ it is

Atwater’s is not a NOLA king cake. Eddie’s is slightly closer, but not good. Just get delivered from NOLA.

I think I’m gonna try to make my own. This recipe was posted in r/NewOrleans and appears to have the stamp of approval. OP said they followed the recipe exactly. How hard could it be? (She said before destroying her kitchen)

Charlsie's in Catonsville has them! You can even order them online for pickup

Just an update. Couldn’t find any of the NOLA ones this year but Eddie’s had their own store baked ones.
