Fffffff Ostrowski's. Even my distant self knows of that place, and despite not ever going, I dislike the fact that they're gone.

See this is what happens when I'm separated from the culture. My parents are both Polish but I wasn't raised with any sort of pride in that culture, so I had no idea these places existed.

Thanks a ton.

The Polish Table on Eastern down by Home Depot should also have them and I imagine Sophie’s in Broadway Market will have them as well and her golabki is #chefskiss

I was born and raised in the shadow of Ostrowski's. Seeing that it's two row homes now every time I visit my dad hits me in the feels.

Still miss their kielbasa, always was damn good.

Two different stores. The one on Washington was the original that was owned for multiple generations. The brothers had a falling out and Victor moved to Bank to open his own store.

John ran the one on Washington and made a number of festivals, but never sold products in stores. That is the one on Bank St. in stores.

I feel that. My grands lived on Bethel next to H&S. Their house was torn down several years back so I can't even drive past and get the memory flood.
