Probably gonna get crowned for this because I don't know if it's the appropriate subreddit but screw it. My job had to let me go and rather than continuing to put out frantic dead in job applications, it seemed to make sense to just come here and ask if any establishments yall worked at were hiring. Better to go where I'm needy right?

Not really picky. Part time or full time is fine at the moment. Anything at or above the minimum wage is perfect. I don't have a car but transportation is rarely an issue except if the job is REALLY outside of Bmore. I don't really have an expertise in anything but I'm a good diligent worker, reliable and consistent.

John's Hopkins is looking for security people. Also, if you're able to pass a background check you could always try to work for the city DOT, maybe they have laborer positions open

Best of luck and sorry that you were recently let go. Way to take the initiative to "network" as this show diligence. Although I don't know of anything specific, I am a Fed and there's always postings for fed jobs. Look at USAjobs.gov and see what's being offered. Best of luck on your searches.

If you want to work hard and like kids Baltimore City Schools need support. Some college credits needed tho. I’d say contact your local schools directly.

Call the various construction union locals. They're often looking for helpers or pre-apprentices. Plus you have the option of applying to the apprenticeship if you dig the work. In ibew 24 for example, you'd start around $17/hr, but after five years of apprenticeship you'd be up to nearly $100k.

If you are physically able to do manual labor, try landscaping companies. Not sure about the city, but there are some based in the immediate suburbs. This is the busy season so many will likely be hiring.

I work part-time as a caregiver and I really love the work. Sometimes you can make a decent amount above minimum wage. You do have to be able to pass a background check and get certified in CPR / first aid, but it's a super needed area. Always always always people looking to hire caregivers. If anyone else reading this is interested, feel Free to DM me for more information!
