New to the hunt, looking for like minded people. I intersperse rockhounding with foraging and woods wandering. And always looking to learn more about the woods. Definitely always one step closer to amateur naturalist. Anyone know of any good groups?

You may meet like-minded folks at some of the Natural History Society of Maryland events: https://www.marylandnature.org/get-involved/events/ There is one tomorrow titled, "The Maestro of Maryland Minerals, Charles Ostrander"

Came here to post this! I went to one of their foraging classes this past weekend and the teacher and all the other attendees were amazing! 12/10 would recommend

Yes it is! Not sure where the name originates, but can be fun to say

Look into local universities that have a geology degree. Professors and students are a great resource for rockhounds.
