For anyone who's curious how I ended up with a bunch of school supplies I don't need: Mom used to be a teacher, then retired and got into couponing. She died somewhat recently, and we're cleaning out the basement.

If you go to pretty much any school in BCPSS, I'm sure they'd be super excited for it! I know the school I work at would be super happy to receive any school supplies!

I bet your mom would be really pleased you’re donating the supplies. I’m a BCPS teacher- any middle or high school would love the extras (we don’t get many donations). Drop by any main office and tell the secretary to pass on the supplies to the English chair. 😊

Haha, yeah I just don't wanna seem weird about anything (but I have a lot of social anxiety so)

Every front desk person at every Baltimore City school I've been in has been gracious. They've seen it all, they don't judge. They'll be happy to take it off your hands with no fuss.

You could definitely drop them off at the door an hour or so before school starts. A staff member will certainly find it and be super grateful.

Parkville MS and parkville HS are schools that would benefit near you. I would drop off at the main office. They would be so appreciative!

I donated a bunch of craft supplies to a local elementary school earlier this year. They'll be grateful to accept everything. I suggest calling ahead and asking what time is good for them. The office will be busy at the very beginning and end of the day and lunch time can get busy too.

I donated art supplies (mostly pencils and art paper) to Jubilee Arts on Pennsylvania Avenue. I emailed ahead and some staff met me there. They were very cool and gracious. Jubilee is community centered and has art focused classes for kids and adults.
